Our Creative God

When we really think about it, God has endless creativity. What are the signs that we have of it: look at how many types of plants there are--flowers, plants, grass, trees--their shapes, sizes, colors, smells. What about their fruits and their endless array of flavors. Then we have the animal kingdom: insects, aquatic life, land animals, my favorite the giraffe, zebras, lions, frogs, etc. It just goes on and on. Each one peculiar each one unique each one special with a special purpose. That brings me to us, humans. One clear sign that he made us all unique, our fingerprints. NOT ONE IS ALIKE. That means that we weren't supposed to be like anyone else. I need to remind myself of this when I compare myself to others. I wasn't meant to look like anyone else. I wasn't meant to sound like anyone else. I wasn't meant to fulfill the call of anyone else. God had a plan that was just for me. He used His creative powers to make me, and it's just as unique as my fingerprints--and as the zebras pattern--and as the giraffe's neck. God help me to be reminded of how you creatively made me. How you curated everything about me including my experiences so that I would be equipped to fulfill an equally unique purpose on Earth. Guide each and every one of my footsteps. Open my eyes and my ears to see You and to hear You. Make me more like You.
